Should You Work With a Business Coach? | Extraordinary Business

According to Harvard Business Review, “The goal of coaching is the goal of good management: To make the most of an organization’s valuable resources.”
A Business Coach is focused on creating successful businesses, and helps owners of small and medium-sized businesses with their challenges, no matter what stage their business is at. It encompasses any area of business from marketing to hiring to operations management.

Many business owners limit their company’s capabilities by not taking the time or committing the resources to grow their companies. They might say that they don’t have the time or the money or the people to do any planning. This is where a business coach steps in and provides blue-sky thinking in terms of what direction their company will grow in.
Jill Anderson of Jill Lynn Design has valid opinions on the benefits of working with a business coach. While Jill enlists the benefits, she also gives an “instruction manual” before actually jumping into working with a business coach. The right amount of guidance and accountability that she received from her business coach has encouraged her to write this article and share her experience with other business owners.
Please go through the article below and send in your valuable insights. What is your opinion on working with a business coach? We would love to hear from you.

Should You Work With a Business Coach?

When is it time to work with a business coach?
Several people have asked this question lately—and I have opinions!
I have been working with Ilise Benun for five years. There’s something about having somebody to share your progress with on a regular basis that’s monumental in helping you get stuff DONE. Yes, it was slow-going and difficult at times, but looking back now I can say with 100% certainty – it was worth it! The idea of working with a coach had always been on my radar, but one day five years ago, I was just ready…and maybe you’re ready too.

It’s time to work with a business coach if:

1) You’re stranded in Stuck City, USA. If you have ideas but you’re not making any progress on them (despite your constant declarations to “finally get this done!”) — a coach can be the kick-in-the-butt you need.
2) You’re making a shift (or you need to). Want new, better clients or different types of work? You might need a coach if your business is changing or it’s time to re-think it. (This is why I reached out to Ilise. I was working for a client I didn’t like and knew I needed to transition, but wasn’t sure how.)
